Cognac La Gabare – Petite Champagne 1958
History
La Gabare is one of the last independent cognac houses. It was founded in 1992 by Jean Grosperrin, a cognac broker and merchant, who was able to capitalise on the close relationships he has with his clients, resulting in them allowing him to buy precious private stocks. Today, the family-owned company remains dedicated to the selection, ageing and sale of rare, old cognacs under the brand names “Cognac de Collection Jean Grosperrin” and “Cognac Le Roch.” All of their products are verified and certified by the French National Scientific Research Institute guaranteeing their impeccable provenance and quality.
Tasting Notes
Magnificent, deep, powerful Petite Champagne cognac with delicate blackcurrant and linden leaf aromas. Distillation with lees has given oily, silky character that combines harmoniously with the oak notes.
