The vineyard that today forms Chateau Edmus was acquired by Philip Edmundson and Eric Remus in 2007, from Chateau de Lescours. The history of the estate dates back to the Middle Ages when King Edward I of England issued a land grant to the Squire of Lescours in 1341. The vineyard later became an important supplier of claret to the court of England. Since their acquisition, Phil Edmundson and Eric Remus have taken every step to restore this exceptional 5.8-hectare terroir to its historical heights. Renown wine consultant, Stephane Derenoncourt is involved in every aspect of the transformation of the fruit from the 35-year-old vines to wine.
