Barone Fini – Pinot Grigio 2014
Cultivating vineyards has been a family business since 1497, when the two noble Venetian
families of Bonmartini and Fini united in marriage and began producing wine in north-eastern
Italy. Today, the estate is run by Giovanni Bonmartini-Fini, who is a successful entrepreneur and winemaker. All of the fruit for Barone Fini is sourced from old vines and is hand harvested and subjected to rigorous hand sorting to ensure that only the best fruit is used. Wines are vinified adhering to the highest standards of production in an ultra-modern winery located atop the ruins of an ancient Roman winery. Despite their use of top line technology, Bonmartini-Fini is adamant that his Pinot Grigio’s complex aromas and flavours stem from the earth itself.
